Responsibilities:

 

Project related activities:

  • Ensure that corporate project methodology, tools and best practices are applied for all projects under your scope;
  • Ensure that relevant governance bodies are in place for each project;
  • Supervise project planning, monitor project plans and resources;
  • Liaise with Infrastructure, Operations & Services to ensure integration of infrastructure and applications layers;
  • Ensure project closure with handover to people in charge of maintenance and operations;

Maintenance and support activities:

 

  • Establish business partnership with user representatives to align our service level and activities with business expectations;
  • Lead the Support and Continuous Improvement activities (incidents, service requests & change requests) in his/her domain of responsibility in accordance with the rules defined by IT Governance department & appropriate QMS;
  • Set up and lead Change Advisory Boards (CABs) for major applications / domains to manage business requests;
  • Build relation with Technical teams in charge of maintaining/supervising the platforms;
  • Monitor maintenance and support activities and publish KPIs;
  • Act as Change Expert and Change Manager according to the definition in the change management SOP;
  • Supervise the life cycle of applications within the Business Unit portfolio and ensures the rationalization of the existing platform;

People responsibilities:

Regular one to one meetings, perform annual appraisal reviews, set up clear mission for consultants and track progress.

 

Budget and Procurement:

Ensure budget construction for the team, comply with purchasing policies and ensure Cost tracking versus budget.

 

Education and qualifications:

  • University Degree, Master level in IT or equivalent;
  • Minimum 10 Years in IT organization with experience working for life sciences companies;
  • Experience of managing / supervising several project managers;
  • Experience in consulting management or in internal resources management in the area of applications delivery. Extensive management experience within health science R&D (ELN, CTMS, eTMF, Chromatography, Data Management….);

Technical Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to apply robust IT solutions in complex international Life-Sciences organizations;
  • Ability to act as a trusted business partner by building long-term relationships;
  • Ability to work in a matrix, geographically dispersed organization;
  •  Demonstrated project management skills;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong relationship management and problem solving skills;
  • Self-reliant/self-motivated and must work well in a dynamic team environment;
  • Demonstrated impact, influence and leadership capabilities;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills;

Fluent in English, French a plus;
