Data Architect (BI)
My client is an innovating, dynamic and growing international pharmaceutical company currently expanding their team in Switzerland, Geneva Canton.
Due to ongoing growth, my client is looking for a Enterprise Information Architect to join their team based in Geneva canton.
Your primary responsibility will be to lead the Information Architecture for Self Service Apps as part of the BI 2.0 strategy. This requires a full understanding of our current and future state architecture (includes Data Virtualization, Data Warehousing, Big Data, BI tools) and being able to apply that knowledge to quickly assess a strong pipeline of demand for fit and feasibility as well as provide a high level assessment of how to deliver them. You will be the primary liaison between BCS and EIM Architects and Application Managers for the Self Service Program.
You will be responsible for understanding the current state data landscape and identifying opportunities to simplify and reduce cost. You will engage early in project lifecycles to lead discovery and mini-discovery efforts to translate high-level business requirements into an effective solution in line with our architecture. You will assist in the development, maintenance and governance of subject area data models for traditional and virtual data warehouses and marts.
– Advance degree, MSc or PhD. in IT or equivalent
– 5-10 years of experience in similar position

– Fluent in English
– Working knowledge of and practical experience in data modeling: entity-relationship modeling, normalization, dimensional modeling, data modeling tools. Knowledge of Erwin a plus.
-Thorough understanding of Business Intelligence and data warehousing: Kimbal and Inmon architectures, EDW, LDW, ETL, Data Virtualization, front-end tools. Big Data a plus.
-Proficient level in Application Management competency. Proven experience in designing and building data warehouses. Solid working knowledge of software development methodologies and lifecycles including ADM and Agile.
-Industry certificates in data warehousing, data management and architecture a plus: CBIP, CDMP, TOGAF
